A big HELLO to everyone using this site, my name's Dale and i live in sunny Sheffield, i've been fishing for around 8 years but only "got into" river fishing in the last 4 years. I started off on the Derwent(Derbyshire) in 2007 and have been a member of Derby county anglers every year since.........why???? amazingly I've had around 15 Doubles out over the years the best being just shy of 13 lbs, the best session compromising of 9 barbel for 72 lb, and the best chub of 6lb as well as some great silver fishing, Perch, Pike, Tench, bream and carp. What a fantastic river. Last year i joined a stretch of the Tidal Trent in Lincolnshire aswell for a change and managed some great days silver fishing and managed a 9lb barbel. In 2008 and 2009 i have holidayed in Bridgenorth for a week with some friends and fished the severn(dayticket stretches) a few times and managed barbel to 6lb from the golf course stretch. This year we're down again for a week in July and I intend to fish the river every day. I have even purchased the BAA book this year to give it a proper go. I intend to use the book after the holiday too and travel down the couple of hours for weekend sessions as there looks to be some great areas of river to fish on it.
If anyone would be willing to share any info on where and how to fish the severn around the Bridgnorth area either BAA or dayticket(i don't mind a bit of a drive) for when we come down, that would be great. There will only be me and one occasional other fishing the river, the others are golfers and puddle chuckers but hey.... we can't all be perfect :-)

Cheers, Dale,
