Rain at last !!

posted Oct 05, 2010 15:42:58 by StuartEyles
Is anyone near the Severn who knows what the conditions are like. I've read reports about it being over 2 metres up but starting to drop off?

With the temperatures this week and the extra water they "should" be really having it!!

I'm hoping to get up there on Saturday but don't fancy driving 100 miles to find it at teh top of the banks!

I live right next to it and its well up and full of crap coming down. If we don't have much more rain it will fine down and should be good for the weekend. I'll let you know how its looking on friday night. In the meantime look at my diary page on the 'blogroll' there is a list of links - The EA river levels is really good as it shows if the river is starting to fall anf the river severn webcams may also prove useful. That is saying that its come up about 1.5m in the last 36 hours which is about right from the look of it.

Will there tommorrow either on the brook section or knowle sands (never fished that before!). Unfortunately I will be fishing like "billy no mates" as my fishing partner just "has" to go partridge shooting tomorrow (hard life). If anyones around say hi, i'll be in a new silver astra or a grey range rover sport.
